The Ibanez RG 550
electric guitar is RG’s classic model in the undisputed standard in
hard-hitting rock guitars. Best
known for its good sustain and bright, tinny tone the Ibanez RG 550 has
a noble history in serious sound, looks and durability.
In 2003, the
Ibanez RG550 electric guitar was upgraded with an intense dose of
concentrated high-tech hardware to create the RG1550.
Featuring its new prestige neck and edge-pro tremolo system, the
new RG offers a versatile instrument for any heavy rocker.
Both deluxe and standard models offer six and seven string
models, duel locking and standard trems, neck-thru and bolt-on axes, and
all within an equally wide range of affordability.
Although this model is no longer in production, you can still find this
electric guitar around due to its great durability.
Most original RG owners won’t want to let their electric
guitars go partially due to sentiment and loyalty to its long years of
service, but mostly because of its incredible playability.
Made in Japan,
the Ibanez RG 550 electric guitar boasts 3 pickups H/S/H, 24 fret
bolt-on maple neck, basswood body, edge tremolo, two humbuckers (inf2)
in the bridge and neck position, and an inf2 single coil in the middle.
And this RG can easily stand a beating with high standard
hardware and a thick finish that shouldn’t wear or easily chip.
In
short the RG would make a great second-hand electric guitar--
